1. If moral laws exist, there is a Moral Law-Giver.Not at all. One could perhaps argue that the CONCEPT of a law-giver is a necessary requirement for humans to believe in moral laws, that people must first BELIEVE that a law-giver exists before they can treat their own values as objectively true. But even here, it is clear that the law-giver Himself doesnt actually have to exist.

2) You dont need a God to argue that your worldview is more coherent than another, or less self-contradictory, or allows the most benefit for all, or contributes more to the sum of human happiness. Surely you dont need a God to argue that a worldview based on lies is inferior to one based on truth and evidence? Or that a worldview that ends in everyone dying is inferior to one where everyone gets to live peaceful, happy lives?

Perhaps Grammar Girl, who makes a living off of her knowledge, ought to examine the difference between marketing yourself and writing a blog. This is the same as a musician trying to write hit songs. I write from my heart, not to fit in to what an audience might expect me to write.

@RuneForumwalker Nope, it surely wouldnt. Then again, anyone who has a basic working knowledge of firearms knows that most automatics lock the slide back when they run out of bullets, so he really doesnt need to ask the question in the first place. The point I was trying to make was that Clint Eastwood has been a long standing badass, whereas this guy is new, and doesnt seem as awesome to me, but thats my opinion. The reason the refrence seems cool is cause hes standing on giants shoulders
